Updates in paediatric emergency medicine by APEM

This event will be held at the Glasshouse, Gateshead.

Join us in Gateshead for updates in paediatric emergency medicine, a one-day event delivered by the Association of Paediatric Emergency Medicine as part of the RCEM Annual Scientific Conference 2024.

Learning objectives:

To keep up to date with research and the latest evidence based medicine in PEM
To understand the roles of the multidisciplinary team involved in managing the complex child with behavioural, social and mental health problems in the PED, and develop strategies to mange them more effectively
To understand the of current position of the National PEWS and ways of successful implementation locally
To analyse different national PEM work force models from various settings, and have group discussions around developing pragmatic sustainable workforce solutions

Top scoring abstracts will be invited to present their work under one of the following categories:

APEM Elizabeth Molyneux Prize – 12 minutes
APEM Lightning Presentations (trainees only) – 12 minutes
APEM Posters –

APEM oral presentations will be held during the APEM pre-conference workshop on Monday 7 October.

APEM posters will be displayed during the APEM pre-conference workshop and in the exhibition hall for the duration of the Annual Scientific Conference. If you wish your poster to be considered for the APEM poster prize, you must register for and attend the APEM pre-conference workshop. Poster presenters will not be offered a specific time to present.
